The next day, as soon as the cow got home from school, he went to ask Aunt Polly to explain the codes. The whole family wanted to know how she did it. "It's all very easy," Aunt Polly said. A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z "Look at the letter Q and then look at the letter across from it. The letter Q becomes the letter D. So the top becomes DEAR COW. See how it's done," explained Aunt Polly. The message said, DEAR COW, I LIKE YOU. ME. "Cool!" called out the cow's sister. Aunt Polly said that there was another code used. "Who can figure that one out?" asked Polly. Each member of the family took a pencil and piece of paper and tried to figure out the other code. |
