20. Finding the
right person...
The next day was Saturday. The cow usually went to the zoo on Saturday to see his friends. He took the raccoon on the bus. The raccoon was never on a bus before and thought it was fun. When they got to the zoo, the cow told his friends about the raccoon's problem. The lions didn't know any raccoons. The lambs said they used to know raccoons but hadn't seen them in a long time. And the elephant said, "Ask the rangers, they know everybody." One of the rangers said he knew a raccoon family from the area and said he'd try to contact them. While he was on the phone the cow took the raccoon to the gift shop. The raccoon said that if he had some money he'd get gifts for his family. The owner of the gift shop overheard what he said and told the raccoon, "When you find your family, I'll give them all presents." A few minutes later the ranger came in and said, "I have news!" |
