3. Aunt Polly!
The cow slept well after his exciting Saturday. Little did he know Sunday would be even more exciting. The cow family always had a family breakfast. After breakfast the cow helped his sister with her homework. Their dad helped mom with the dishes. And then the telephone rang. The cow's mom answered the phone and called out, "Oh, no!" Everyone ran over to find out what happened. It was totally unexpected. It took a few minutes before the cow's mom calmed down. When the family found out everyone was in a frenzy. "How long do we have?" said the cow's father. "Two hours!" Mom said. The fear was growing by the minute. Aunt Polly was on her way to visit!!!!! Everyone trembled when they heard her name. The whole family was afraid of her. She was always telling the cow to be a gentleman. His sister got lectures on being more ladylike. Polly was always looking for dust and blaming it on mom. For dad it was the worst. Polly was his big sister. According to her, dad never did the right thing. |
