6. The missing
sock...
The next day the cow got up in the morning and was getting ready for school. He went to take his socks out of the drawer and noticed that one of his new brown socks was missing. He looked through his sock drawer and couldn't find it. All of his other socks seemed to be there. He asked his sister about it about it and she didn't know where it was. Neither did his dad. He called Aunt Polly and she offered to get him new socks. It was getting late. He didn't want to miss the school bus. When he got downstairs he told his mom about the missing sock. She smiled and told him to look in his shoe. His shoes were kept near the door since the cows never wore their shoes inside. Mom had found the sock the night before and put it in the shoe. It was after the cow was sleeping and she didn't want to wake him. The cow put on his sock and shoes and was ready for a fun day at school. At least he thought it would be a fun day. |
